The Standards contain an overview of all aspects of fostering services, including what the service must provide for children and young people, foster carers and employees.
Also attached is the assessment and approval process for prospective foster carers/applicants.
Guidance covering the legislative requirements and expectations on individual services to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, and a framework for Local Safeguarding Children Boards to monitor the effectiveness of local services. This guidance is for all practitioners working with children, from Director’s of Childrens’ Services to volunteers.
